In 2006, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University graduate Jim Michelinie found himself with a garage so full of clutter that he could not walk in his own garage without stepping over “stuff”. One day, while stepping over some particular item Jim tripped nearly sending the item slamming into the side of his beloved 1967 fully restored Pontiac GTO which was tucked away in his garage along with everything else from ladders to snow blowers and weedwackers. Jim and his GTO were OK but, that was the trigger point in what would become a full blown renovation of his own garage from a new heated concrete floor to the installation of Redline Garagegear cabinets followed by the “organization” of Creative Garage Solutions LLC two years later.
Jim’s favorite room in the house has always been the garage. As a teenager living with his parents in Wilmington, DE he would often pull everything out of their garage to clean and re-organize. Jim has always had a knack for organizing and would often be tasked with packing the family automobile’s trunk for vacation so that everything would fit. Organizing and garages were obviously in his blood.
Today, Jim not only still works on Corporate Jets but also has the pleasure of running Creative Garage Solutions and helping others “get organized” in their own garages.
